Sloane grew up in The Plains Virginia, immersed in everything equestrian. She rose to national prominence during her junior career, winning titles in equitation, hunters and jumpers at the country’s best horse shows.

She received training from a variety of top horsemen throughout her formative years, such as John and Beezie Madden, Beacon Hill Show Stables, Johnny and Kitty Barker and Heritage Farm.

Since moving into the professional ranks, Sloane has competed in major North American grand prix events with wins at The Hampton Classic (New York), HITS-on-the-Hudson (New York) and HITS Culpeper (Virginia). She was named to the 2010 USEF Developing Rider Show Jumping tour with her mare Louisanna.
